Schymberg Award

This singing competition for young opera singers, Schymberg Award, is an initiative by the Hjördis Schymberg Foundation, together with The Foundation for Soloists at the Royal Stockholm Opera and the Nordic Chamber Orchestra, Sundsvall.

Schymberg Award takes place every second year. The next competition will have the finals on February 24, 2024. It is Nordic and invites young opera singers, in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. Last application date is May 31, 2023. Digital semifinals will be held in september 2023, and the final concert for five finalists will take place on February 24, 2024, at the Tonhallen concert hall, Sundsvall, together with the Nordic Chamber Orchestra.
